I am so incredibly, overwhelmingly excited right now – I can't even explain it!! Today – once again – I realized why I gave everything up and moved to Nashville.  I sat down with my producer, Dennis, and listened to the final masters of my first 4 songs.  I was BLOWN away.  Although I was obviously there each step of the way, it was so amazing to hear the completed, mastered songs!  I even had to hike up my sweatpants  (sexy, right?) and show Dennis the goosebumps… ;-)  Moments like today make all the struggle SO worth it, and I just wanted to share a bit about the experience with you.

The first 4 songs consist of 2 that I have previously recorded – "Whisper" and "I Call it Love", and 2 new songs.  The first of the new songs is one that I wrote and have played out some – "Play"; the second is one that Dennis co-wrote, called "I Have Fun".  Hearing the re-made songs was amazing – obviously the budget required for this album was a lot more than previous albums – but when I heard it, it was undoubtedly worth every penny!  I could go on and on about the players on the record – but if you wanna know more, read the "into the studio" blog.

And YES…. you can hear the new songs!!!  I am SO proud of them…  If you're reading this, you have probably already heard the first one!  They are all 4 loaded into the player.  Enjoy this preview into the coming album!

We also discussed song selection for the next 4 songs, which we'll start tracking on this week.  For those of you who absolutely insisted on it ;) you'll be happy to know that "Gypsy" did make it into this next set of songs!!  You guys had SUCH an awesome reaction to this, especially on my last round of shows, and I am so happy to be able to record this song!  I also have put a live video up on myspace (have to be a member to view this) for those of you who asked for even a rough demo of it "cause you can't get it out of your head"!!

If you missed the WRRW radio show, no worries!  It has been archived and is available for download at http://www.wrrw.fm/.  Just scroll down the page to "Artist Interviews Only on WRRW" and click on my name.  It is an hour-long show with some album cuts, some live studio cuts, and an interview portion.

Well, that's it for now – thank you SO MUCH to all of you who came out to my shows in VA – I had just an amazing time, and especially to those who came out to multiple shows – thank you so much for your continued support!!
